An employee at Harlow Timber in Kidderminster was airlifted to hospital yesterday with serious injuries after becoming trapped between a fork lift and some timber.

Crews from Hereford & Worcester Fire Rescue Service were called to the company at 3.04pm.

The fire service told TTJ that a doctor from Staffordshire was flown in by helicopter to assist with the rescue operation and the man was freed at 3.51pm.

He was then airlifted to Selly Oak hospital suffering chest, neck and head injuries.
