The benefits of woodwaste recycling will be spelled out to the furniture manufacturing industry at two free seminars organised by WRAP – the Waste & Resources Action Programme.

Research commissioned by WRAP and carried out by BFM Ltd, the British furniture manufacturers’ trade association, has shown that around one quarter of the furniture manufacturing sector’s woodwaste goes to landfill – a practice that is costing the industry hundreds of thousands of pounds a year.

WRAP says the aim of the seminars is to discuss the issue of woodwaste and show how manufacturers can control and reduce costs by managing their waste more effectively.

The seminars will be held at the Novotel, Bradford on November 26 and the Crown Plaza, Marlow on November 28.
