Neil Jefferson, general manager of the National House-Building Council (NHBC) and chief executive of the new Zero Carbon Hub, is the latest speaker to join the line-up for the TTJ Wood Futures Conference on November 6.

The Hub was launched this summer “to make zero carbon homes a reality”.

It will liaise between industry and central and local government on achieving the former’s 2016 zero carbon target for new housing, devise a “practical and workable” definition of zero carbon and identify “exemplar” buildings to provide guidance on zero carbon construction for builders.

The Hub board also includes representatives of the Department of Communities and Local Government, the UK Green Building Council, the Home Builders Federation, Construction Products Association and the Local Government Association.

The Wood Futures: Countdown to Zero conference is organised by TTJ in partnership with the Medite 2016 Forum and takes place at the Royal Festival Hall, London. For more information contact John Andrews at jandrews@ttjonline.com , or tel: +44 (0)20 8269 7769.
