Accoya wins Dutch award

Modified wood brand Accoya has been awarded the Dutch National Award for Sustainable Innovation.

The awards, opened by Dutch prime minister Jan Peter Balkenende, are staged by the Dutch government every two years to reward sustainability innovation in the Netherlands. The prize itself is known as “The Columbus Egg”.

Commercial production of Accoya by Titan Wood, a subsidiary of Accsys Technologies plc, began in 2007 at Arnhem.
