AHEC confirms European convention date

The American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC) has confirmed its next European convention will be held in Athens, Greece in October 2009.

The event at the Hilton Hotel Athens will take place October 22-23, 2009, and will focus on the key issues affecting the European market.

The two-day convention will take the form of an open forum said AHEC, with panel sessions and Q&A workshops to encourage debate.

“The convention 2009 provides an opportunity for members of the US hardwood industry to link up and debate key issues in a relaxed and informative environment,” said AHEC European director David Venables..

“The panel sessions have proved very useful in previous years and have made for a productive and inspiring forum with some key insights being generated.”

The last AHEC European convention was held in Amsterdam in October 2007.
