Andrew Donaldson joins family company

James Donaldson & Sons Ltd has welcomed another family member to the business.

Andrew Donaldson, son of chairman and chief executive Neil Donaldson, has joined the company to embark on an 18-month management training programme.

He will work at each of the Group’s main trading subsidiaries: Donaldson Timber Engineering Ltd, James Donaldson Timber Ltd, MGM Timber Ltd and Parker Kislingbury Ltd.

Andrew is the second son of Neil Donaldson to join the company. Eldest son Michael Donaldson has worked for the firm for eight years and currently manages the Donaldson Timber Engineering branch in Scotland.

Prior to joining the family firm, Andrew spent four years working at accountancy firm KPMG, where he qualified as a chartered accountant.
