Aus-Haus builds on TEK

Kingspan Off-Site’s TEK build system has been chosen as the basis for a new range of modular house types.

The Aus-Haus range, developed by Austins, will use TEK to create one- to four-bedroom houses and flats, primarily aimed at local housing associations. They are designed to achieve Level 3 to Level 6 of the Code for Sustainable Homes.

Kingspan said Austins had chosen TEK to provide a quick, flexible and repeatable build solution using modern methods of construction.

“As a proven off-site solution, the [TEK system] combines speed of build with high levels of thermal efficiency, making it ideal to reach the levels of the Code required by the Aus-Haus designs,” said Austins director Simon Powell.
