Awards sell out

18 August 2007

The TTJ Awards has sold out more than a month before the event at London’s Park Lane Hotel.

More than 400 people have booked their place, a 25% increase on the record attendance at the Awards’ 10th anniversary presentations in 2006.

“This year’s response has been great,” said TTJ editor Mike Jeffree. “We have always billed the TTJ Awards as very much the industry’s event and its very heartening to see how they’ve grown in popularity and stature to become one of the leading dates of the trade calendar.”

The host and guest speaker for this year’s event on September 20 is Olympic gold medallist and chairman of the London Organising Committee of the 2012 Olympics Games Lord Sebastian Coe.

A new award category is also introduced – the TTJ Achievement in Engineerd Timber Award, sponsored by Osmose.

Gold sponsor for the event is leading wood processing technology specialist Weinig.
