BSW kits out footballers

30 May 2014

Pupils at Deshar Primary will be sporting a new football kit at this year’s matches, thanks to £250 of sponsorship from BSW Timber which operates its Boat of Garten sawmill just 1.5 miles away.

All members of the P3-P7 team will be kitted out in the new gear, which features the timber company's logo. The team's old training kit will be donated to a charity project in Nairobi, with the help of the school's Parent Council and the local Rotary Club.

"We have a team of girls and boys from P3 to P7 who are eager to play in the local schools tournament and many other sporting activities, and the team will be unmistakable in their fantastic new kits," said Charlie Speedie at Deshar Primary School.

"We would like to thank BSW for the generous donation, and both the Parent Council and Rotary Club for ensuring that our previous kits will continue to be well used in Nairobi."

"The Deshar team really look the part in their new kits," said David Mills, mill manager at BSW Timber.

"BSW Timber is committed to supporting the local community at Boat of Garten as well as communities further afield, and is pleased to encourage young people to become involved in sporting activities in this way."
