BSW Timber used in barn transformation
30 October 2010BSW Timber’s wood products have been used in the transformation of a derelict barn into a four-bedroom home.
BSW’s Easi-Edge construction timber was selected for the stud walls and floor joists of the property in Kirtlebridge, Dumfriesshire, while Douglas fir formed the exposed beams.
The company’s Timeless Timber brand was used for outdoor decking and British-grown larch for cladding.
Mike Faulkner purchased the dilapidated barn in 2008 and spent 18 months meticulously renovating it with his father, Bob Faulkner.
“The use of timber was paramount in recreating the natural barn feel,” said Mike Faulkner.
