BWF approves Howarth door products
4 November 2006Howarth (Timber Importers) Ltd has become the first major importer to be certified by the BWF-Certifire Scheme to manufacture fire door check casing and lining sets.
The products can be used with the majority of the FD30 Fire Doors certified under the BWF-Certifire Fire Door & Doorset Scheme.
A spokesperson said detailed information was provided in each of the new shrink-wrapped casing and lining sets, which included guidance on compatibility of components and a list of fire doors manufactured by BWF-Certifire Fire Door & Doorset Scheme members with which the casings and linings could be used.
BWF-Certifire Scheme manager Scott Marshall said: “There has been a problem in the industry because of the shortage in the market of certified frames for fire doors. Howarth's range of BWF-certified casing and linings represents another step in the right direction.”
