BWF members’ chance to access grant-funded services

22 June 2011

The British Woodworking Federation (BWF) has confirmed confirm details of the ConstructionSkills Grant Offer 2011, allowing 35 members members to access significantly reduced rates for services.

Members have the opportunity of securing cut-price chain of custody certification, health and safety audits, as well as assistance in getting ISO 9001:2008, ISO14001 and factory production control procedures in place.

The offer, funded by ConstructionSkills, is aimed at helping SMEs in the joinery business achieve essential certifications and necessary audits by offering savings of around £600 on each of the listed services.

“After last years high level of demand for grant offer funding, we’ve added more services to the offer and increased the number of offers available,” said the BWF.

A brand new service to help members achieve Factory Production Control (FPC) will be launched by the BWF soon.

“FPC will soon be mandatory for most BWF members as it will be required for all levels of the CE marking,” it added.

Grant application forms are available to download from the BWF website at www.bwf.org.uk

The deadline for applications is August 23.
