CIEF to talk up legal timber

2 October 2008

The Construction Industry Environmental Forum (CIEF) is to hold a workshop on legal and sustainable timber in London on November 5.

It will provide advice and practical solutions to help firms operating in the construction industry understand the national and international issues resulting from the increased demand for legal and sustainable timber.

This includes forthcoming legislation and policies; supply chain demands; and information on available legal supplies.

Run in association with The Timber Trade Federation (TTF), Defra and the Construction CPD Certification Service, it will feature a short presentation from the Environmental Investigation Agency NGO; a global market overview from the Department for International Development and Defra; and a presentation on legal and responsible purchasing from the TTF.
