Club in good health

21 January 2009

The London Hardwood Club (LHC) is in the “best state of health it’s been for some time”, president Ken Walsh told members at its New Year lunch.

The event last week in London attracted 109 people, 25% more than in 2007.

“And we now have more than 50 member companies and average attendance at our bimonthly meetings has risen to over 40,” said Mr Walsh.

Another step forward for the LHC in the last year, he added, was the launch of its website, www.londonhardwoodclub.co.uk.

The lunch raised £1,657.50 for Osbornes for Orphanages, the charity supporting orphans in Cambodia set up in memory of Clarks Wood managing director Geoff Osborne, who died last year.
