Companies book to exhibit at Timber Expo

2 October 2010

The organisers of TRADA’s Timber Expo expect to have 80-90% of exhibition space booked by Christmas.

At the launch event for the show at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry on Wednesday, 20 companies signed up or reserved space – adding to the 11 that had already booked and the 18 that had reserved stands.

The show, to be held at the Ricoh Arena from September 27-28 next year, is expected to attract 5,000 visitors.

TRADA’s In Touch with Timber conference will be held in conjunction with the event and some big name architects and engineers will be among the speakers.

The American Hardwood Export Council has thrown its support behind the event by becoming a major sponsor.

Stand space, the smallest of which is 6m², costs £270/m², which the organisers say is “very competitive” compared with the typical UK?price of £290/m².

A major marketing campaign is to be launched to attract visitors from the construction industry.
