Donaldson group posts strong results

6 March 2019

James Donaldson & Sons Ltd has posted strong results for the year ended March 31, 2018 with turnover across the group reaching £153.6m.

Consolidated profit before tax fell very slightly to £7.66m from £7.76m the previous year.

The turnover figure compares with a group turnover of £136.5m the previous year and reflects the first full year of trading to include sales generated through Nu-Style Products. Donaldson acquired the Aberdeen-based business in 2016.

“Nu-Style Products (Holdings) has integrated well into the Donaldson Group and we continue to leverage the synergies between this business and the rest of the group,” said Andrew Donaldson, group finance director.

“As we move closer to the UK exiting the EU it remains difficult to conclude the impact this will have on our business and the willlingness of the outside world to want to trade with the UK going forward,” he continued.

“Uncertainty and the potential stifling effect this may have on investment in the UK and, in particular, within the construction trade risks future growth in our sector.

“The directors are monitoring this situation closely, however, the group remains agile and positive about the future.”
