Dubai WoodShow a strategic opportunity

The Dubai WoodShow 2012 is anticipating 8,000 visitors.

The event takes place from April 3-5 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center and is billed by organiser Strategic Marketing as “a chance to meet wood and woodworking professionals and develop ideas for increasing the range and quality of visitors’ and exhibitors’ Middle East” business .

The event, which covers a 12,000m2 exhibition area, also promises to be a showcase for “latest innovations and technologies” and an opportunity for exhibitors to “initiate lucrative transactions” with customers from across the Middle East and worldwide.

The 2011 show attracted exhibitors from more than 30 countries and featured country pavilions from Canada, China, France, Germany, Malaysia and the US. Contracts concluded at the event were estimated to have been worth “millions of dollars”.

Show backers included European wooodworkng machinery manufacturers (Eumabois), Italian machinery organisation ACIMALL, French Timber, Malaysian Timber Council, tropical timber organisaton ATIBT, Engineered Wood Products Association, The American Hardwood Export Council and Chinese Woodworking Association.
