European firms hit Shanghai

15 October 2008

German wood-based panel manufacturer Pfleiderer AG, door blank producer Moralt and French peeled beech veneer manufacturer Brugère were among the exhibitors at September’s ZOW in Shanghai show.

More than 4,000 visitors were attracted to the Chinese leg of the ZOW trade fair for furniture components and interior design, which took place at the JSWB Global Home Furnishings Centre for the first time after moving from the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.

ZOW founder Peter Meyer said expansion plans at the JSWB venue, which will increase exhibition space from 200,000m² to 700,00m², meant “the sky’s the limit” for the show, aided by Shanghai city council’s plans to make “the west of the city the focal point”.

ZOW is to stage another exhibition in China on March 19-22, 2009 at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Centre in southern China.
