Fire door certification seminar

8 May 2012

The British Woodworking Federation Certifire Fire Door and Doorset Scheme is holding a CPD-approved seminar for architects, building owners and developers in London on June 13.

The seminar will focus on concerns associated with specification, particularly the fire safety obligations of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order. Speakers will include experts from the London fire brigade and Brent Housing Partnership.

BWF-Certifire Scheme chairman Peter Johnson said: “Everyone involved in the manufacture, specification, sale, installation and maintenance of fire doors and doorsets needs to understand their roles and responsibilities.”

The BWF-Certifire Scheme represents 75% of fire doors sold in the UK and has accredited 30 million fire doors since it began 15 years ago.
