Fire door training extended to non-timber doors

12 December 2010

Chiltern International Fire has broadened the scope of its fire doors training day for manufacturers and installers.

The “Fire Doors Explained” training days will now cover steel and composite fire doors, as well as timber.

“We have seen a sharp increase in demand for testing of composite and steel doorsets,” said Mark Cummings, Chiltern’s deputy technical manager.

“Specifiers are increasingly demanding that suppliers and installers of all types of fire doors are third-party certified, so demand for our courses continues to grow from all market sectors.”

The new courses will take place at Chiltern’s High Wycombe site on February 15, April 7, June 9, September 29 and November 24. A half-day seminar will follow each full day course.

The cost is £310+VAT for non-members and £275+VAT for TRADA members.
