Forestry Commission to question climate change truths

Forestry experts from across the UK are to discuss the relationship between forests and climate change at the Forests and Climate Change: A Convenient Truth? conference.

Organised by the Forestry Commission, the one-day event on November 21 will include presentations from; Tim Rollinson, director-general of the Forestry Commission; Dr Mark Broadmeadow, climate change programme manager at the Forestry Commission; Stewart Maginnis, head of the Forest Conservation Programme at the World Conservation Union; Dr Keith Richards, managing director of renewable energy firm TV Energy; Wood for Gold chairman Craig White; and Professors John Handley and Paul Ekins from the University of Manchester and University of London respectively.

Key topics of the conference will include practical ways to tackle climate change and adapting to climate change. Delegates will be able to pose questions to all of the speakers during a Q&A session.
