Forrest elected STTA president
28 May 2014Paul Forrest, of Caledonian Plywood Company Ltd, has been elected president of the Scottish Timber Trade Association (STTA). Iain Torrance of James Donaldson Timber Ltd is the new vice-president.
Mr Forrest said he looked forward to another interesting year for the STTA.
"We have developed a vibrant and well-respected organisation that addresses the practical issues that affect businesses in the timber trade in Scotland," he said. "Our members' meetings are now more inclusive and are well attended. I look forward to another interesting year for STTA and hope that we can recruit more new members as well, to strengthen the voice of the trade in Scotland. Our focus remains firmly on delivering on behalf of our members."
