Four men, a boat and a timber agent

28 May 2013

Timber agent and broker Nick Taylor, specialist in North American hardwoods and softwoods, is helping to sponsor Team Hallin in an attempt to break the world record for the Round GB Route 2013, recognised as the world’s toughest rowing race.

Team Hallin will be part of the Anglo American Boat race GB Row 2013 and on June 1 Hallin Marine II will set off from Tower Bridge in London in an attempt to break the world record for the route - just under 27 days to row around the entire coastline of Great Britain, unsupported and non-stop.

The record was set by an army team of four men in 2005 who took 26 days 21 hours and 14 minutes to complete the 2,000 nautical mile course. More people have walked on the moon than have rowed non-stop around GB and the crew of Hallin Marine II hope to add four more names to this specialist list of rowers.
