French cladding producer achieves PEFC

19 October 2009

French timber cladding producer Sivalbp has achieved PEFC certification.

The company, based near Thônes, said it can now offer certified products in Nordic spruce, mountain spruce, larch, Douglas fir, radiata pine and western red cedar.

Sivalbp said the certification would add further recognition to its products and improve its credibility as a cladding supplier. It intends to source more PEFC-certified species.

Earlier this year, Sivalbp begain extending its market focus on the UK by sounding out potential distributors.

The company manufactures about 60,000m³ of cladding annually at its €22m ultra-modern factory, with 20,000m³ being a super-heated thermowood-type product.
