Gang-Nail nets connector plate CE approval

8 November 2010

Construction software specialist Gang-Nail Systems has achieved CE Marking for its BBA-approved galvanised steel connector plates used to make its prefabricated roof trusses.

CE marking is not yet mandatory in the UK, said the company, but the introduction of Eurocode 5 will make it a requirement for structural components some time in 2011. Accreditation, it says, is “future proofing” its products.

“We want to be ahead of change in legislation and feel that by gaining CE mark accreditation at this early stage, we will be ready to meet customer demand,” said Gang-Nail Systems sales and business development director Jason Ruddle.
