19 June 2014

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has revised some of its Woodworking Information Sheets.

WIS 4, Noise reduction at band resaws, and WIS 13, Noise at woodworking machines, include new information on how noise is measured and updated references on sources of practical advice.

The guidance in WIS 22, Routers and machning centres safe working practices, has been updated to meet the BS EN stantards for CNC routers and hand-fed integrated feed machines. It also includes new illustrations.

WIS 2, Stacking round timber, sawn timber and board materials, now includes guidance on the safe stacking of logs.

The revised information sheets are available on the HSE website www.hse.gov.uk.
