Industry takes the challenge

A team from UPM Shotton won this year’s Forest Products Challenge held at Coed Llandegla last month.

Chris Barratt, who was third individual overall, Gary Stewart and Neil Partridge completed the course in a combined time of 4h27:25.

The fastest man on the course was Huw Thomas of Forest Research, who crossed the finish line in 1h21:07. Second was Eddie Addis of UPM Tilhill in a time of 1h22:47. His team was placed second.

Kim Norman was the first woman to finish, in a time of 1h49:12, followed by Lucy Prosser in 2h00:29, and Kerstin Leslie of UPM in 2h04:50.

The event, which is an annual fixture, is sponsored by UPM Tilhill.
