James Donaldson rebrands Chorley business

13 April 2010

James Donaldson Timber (JDT) has rebranded its Chorley business, previously trading as Alfred Hulme Ltd, as part of a long-term strategy to offer full UK coverage.

The company originally acquired the Chorley business from Palgrave Brown in 2008, renaming it Alfred Hulme, the original name of the company when it started on the site in 1919.

Iain Torrance, JDT managing director, said the amalgamation of the Chorley and Leven sites into one trading entity would bring customer benefits, including product offering, supply synergies and improve service.

JDT Chorley will continue to manufacture and supply MDF mouldings, softwood and panel products, with a focus on supporting the merchant sector.
