James Donaldson Timber appoints commercial director
23 May 2013James Donaldson Timber Ltd has announced the appointment of Andrew Donaldson as commercial director, as of May 27.
Since joining Donaldson's in the summer of 2010 Mr Donaldson has experienced all aspects of the company and has most recently been working as commercial manager at MGM Timber (Scotland) Ltd. Prior to joining the family business, he spent four years working at accountancy firm KPMG, where he qualified as a chartered accountant.
In his new role Mr Donaldson will be involved throughout the business with specific responsibility for the commercial development of James Donaldson Timber's sites at Elm Park (Leven, Fife), Chorley (Lancashire) and Brill (Oxfordshire).
"Andrew did an excellent job during his time at MGM Timber and has proven himself to be more than capable," said Scott Cairns, group managing director of James Donaldson & Sons.
"This new role will be a challenge, but for someone with Andrew's natural talents, I have no doubt that he will excel in this demanding environment."
