James Jones launches new I-joist sizes
20 July 2013James Jones & Sons Ltd’s timber systems division has introduced new JJI-Joists sizes in response to the increased market for large, clear-span roofs and highly insulated wall systems.
Mark Tilston, divisional business development manager, said the new sizes would allow architects greater flexibility when specifying JJI-Joists for roofs, walls and high-load floor applications.
The full portfolio of joist widths are 47mm (A+); 63 (B+); 72mm (C); and 97mm (D), for I-joist depths ranging from 350-450mm.
ITW and Simpson Strong-Tie are supplying metalwork to match the new sizes, while James Jones’s JoistMaster software (V3.31) has been updated to cater for the expanded range.
