JB Kind Doors: £6,300 donated to Burton & District Mind

18 December 2023

UK door distributor JB Kind Doors has raised £6,300 for Burton & District Mind, after two years of charity fund-raising.

JB Kind’s team of 45 employees, always nominate their preferred choice of charity and back in January 2022, it was clear that they wished to support a charity which helped people’s mental health. The group recognised the toll that the Covid pandemic had taken on everyone’s mental health and set to work fund-raising for their local branch of Mind.

Fund-raising events have included a very successful charity golf day in 2022, as well as other activities such as raffles, cake sales and sports sweepstakes. In October, the team held an 80s themed quiz night, in celebration of the decade in which JB Kind started selling doors and its ‘40 years in doors’ anniversary.

“Our team always put the ‘fun’ into fund-raising and work hard to create an exciting calendar of events,” said James Cadman, JB Kind managing director. “This year’s highlight was definitely the 80s quiz night and we were so pleased with the effort everyone made dressing up in 80s inspired outfits, as well as their generosity and support.

“Working with Burton & District Mind has also helped us as a business, improving our mental health awareness. Through a series of inciteful workshops, our workforce has benefited from developing a better understanding of mental health, including strategies to help them support their own mental health and well-being.

“I’d like to thank everyone who has been involved in our fund-raising over the last two years, the JB Kind team, their family and friends, as well as our business partners that have made it possible to achieve our amazing total of £6,300.”
