Lathams sponsors leading design project
15 August 2014James Latham is sponsoring a design initiative which is being spearheaded by the American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC) and Benchmark Furniture for the London Design Festival from September 13-21.
The design challenge, known as "The Wish List", involves up-and-coming designers creating pieces using American hardwoods for big names in architecture and design.
Lathams supplied a consignment of white oak, walnut, tulipwood and cherry to the designers.
"This is an excellent initiative and one which we are delighted to support," said Chris Sutton, managing director of James Latham.
"The wealth of design talent in this country is incredible and when it is given a platform such as this, plus the backing of such great names in architecture and design, as well as AHEC and Benchmark, it has all the ingredients to be a big success and we are really excited to be involved."
