Life’s work recognised

22 August 2012

Gill & Robinson used the opportunity of its annual golf day to honour a long-serving member of the timber trade.

John Gemmell, who was presented with a special bottle of whisky by managing director Ian Robinson, has worked in the timber industry for 50 years. He joined Arnold Laver on April 2, 1962. After a brief spell on his own as an agent, he joined Gill & Robinson in 2000.

The winners of the golf day, held at Sitwell Park in Rotherham, were Chris Davidson (Gill & Robinson); Brett Tyler (Grafton); Lawrence Webster (Kullik & Rullmann); Mike Ramsey (Peter Ramsey Timber); Charles Hopping (Hoppings Softwoods); Gerry Browne (Arnold Laver); and Simon Boyce (Kingston Craftsman).
