London hosts CE seminar

14 August 2008

TRADA and The Timber Trade Federation (TTF) are to stage a special seminar in London to explain the requirements of CE marking for structural-grade plywood.

It is aimed at directors and senior managers involved in the purchase of plywood, including importers, agents and merchants.

It will look at the process of CE marking, the role of manufacturers, the current issues and what importers and buyers should be looking for.

Mark Wilkinson, BM TRADA’s business development manager, and Nick Boulton, head of technical and trade policy at the TTF, will speak at the event.

“The seminar is essential to help buyers, sellers and end-users understand what evidence is needed to support the claims they are automatically making when selling CE marked plywood,” said Mr Boulton.

The seminar will be held at the Institute of Directors on September 3.
