LP wins beam CE approval
7 December 2012LP Building Products has received CE marking approval for its construction materials in the EU for four grades of LP SolidStart LVL.
The US company said it would help it introduce more alternatives for traditional softwood timber into the European market.
The CE products approved include LP SolidStart LVL-Q Lite for rim board and wall plates, S Lite for most header and beam applications, industry standard S and S Plus for higher performance beams.
"We currently have six wholesale distributors stocking LP's EWP products with a strong presence in the UK and Benelux, as well as actively pursuing additional distributors in France and Germany," said international sales manager Al Huber.
