Materials handling in focus at IMHX 2013

Materials handling solution companies are gearing up for this spring’s International Materials Handling Exhibition (IMHX) at Birmingham NEC.

The March 19-22 show, run by the British Industrial Truck Association and Informa Exhibitions, is expected to feature more than 400 exhibitors and attract over 20,000 visitors.

Forklift truck exhibitors include Combilift, Barloworld Handling, Briggs Equipment, Hubtex and Jungheinrich. A number of warehouse solutions providers will also be showing new products and services.

Transom Engineering will debut its iTech Fleet forklift fleet management system, designed to help site managers monitor and control truck usage and improve security. The system can immobilise a truck when it leaves a designated area.

B&B Attachments will launch KAUP's latest solution - Conveyor Belt Forks.

The technology is designed to bridge the gap between palletised and palletless handling by enabling the truck to do both, using an in-built conveyor on the forks to be mechanically pulled onto the forks and set down again in the same way.
