Metsä closes sale of Merk
24 April 2013Metsä Group has completed the sale of its timber construction projects business Metsä Wood Merk GmbH to Züblin AG Group.
The transaction was closed on April 22 following approval of German Competition Authorities.
The move by Metsä Group is designed to support the focus of Metsä Wood and its German subsidiary in providing wood construction systems and product component solutions in the central European market.
The Merk business is a specialist in the manufacture of large-format cross-laminated timber panels. It has reported sales of €21m.
