Midlands TTBS Christmas lunch success
13 December 2013The Midlands Region TTBS annual nine hole golf followed by Christmas lunch took place at Olton Golf Club, Solihull on December 6 and was well attended by the Midlands timber trade, friends and colleagues.
The raffle prizes and sponsorship provided by The Beeches Bar & Grill, Olton Golf Club, Edgbaston Golf Club, Nicky Clarke, Henry Wongs Restaurant, Avalon Forest Products Ltd, Midland Freight Ltd, Truc Services Ltd, Egger UK, Steico AG and other individual supporters, produced £850 towards a substantial profit for the Society.
Following the lunch, the attendees were entertained superbly by Julie Richards, a member of the Timber Expo team, who, following her amazing performance at the 2013 Timber Expo Exhibitors Networking Reception, agreed to sing at the Midlands Christmas lunch.
"We are extremely grateful to Julie Richards for providing such a refreshing performance at our lunch and of course to all the loyal supporters for their generous financial support for the Midlands TTBS," said Ivan Savage, TTBS general manager and Midlands vice-president and secretary.
The date for the 2014 Christmas lunch and golf at Olton will be December 5 and all other Midlands TTBS events for 2014 will be notified on www.ttbs.org.uk
