Modified wood to star at Chelsea

14 May 2010

Accoya modified wood will this year form part of the largest show garden ever seen at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

Decking, planters, compost bins and a bench made out of Accoya will feature in the “Places of Change” garden, a collaboration between the Homes and Communities Agency, the Eden Project, Homeless Link and Communities and Local Government.

The timber products are being crafted at Woodworks, the wood workshop of homelessness charity St Mungo’s, in Westminster.

Eden Project garden designer Paul Stone said Accoya was chosen for its durability and FSC certification.
