NETTA helps forest school

3 November 2011

As part of its work in the community to promote the use of timber, the North East Timber Trade Association (NETTA) has donated a large timber cabin to Lobley Hill Primary Forest School in Gateshead.

During a recent meeting at the school, NETTA committee members were shown around the site and chairman Edward Bennett officially handed the timber cabin to the school.

“It is wonderful to see the children interacting with nature, making things and actually enjoying being outside,” said Mr Bennett. “NETTA is pleased and proud to support Lobley Hill.”

The philosophy of forest schools is to encourage and inspire people of any age through positive outdoor experiences.

The timber cabin was supplied from Shire Garden in Cambridgeshire.
