New communications director for FFIF

Finnish Forest Industries Federation (FFIF) has appointed Anne Pirilä as communications director.

Ms Pirilä, who will also serve on the management board, replaces Helena Aatinen who has joined Fortum Corporation.

Ms Pirilä was previously senior vice-president in charge of communications and investor relations at Rautaruukki. She has also worked as communications director for Ahlstrom Corporation, as a communications consultant at Viestintätoimisto Pohjoisranta, and as a news reporter for the Finnish TV channel MTV.

“Anne has extensive experience of different sectors of communications as well as strong competence in industrial communications in particular and this will be of great benefit to the forest industry’s lobbying efforts,” said FFIF director-general Timo Jaatinen.
