New UKTFA website goes live

The UK Timber Frame Association (UKTFA) has relaunched its website as a one-stop shop for information relating to timber frame.

The UKTFA says the new easy-to-use site is the single largest generic source of information on timber frame construction.

It features answers to commonly-asked questions, technical information for self-builders, building and construction professionals, housing associations and architects, as well as as a database of manufacturers, designers, erectors, industry suppliers and financial services companies across the UK.

An e-commerce facility gives visitors the opportunity to buy guides to exploiting the benefits of timber frame, including one for the self-builder and the other for the construction professional.

UKTFA chief executive Bryan Woodley said: "The timber frame industry is undergoing significant expansion and as its popularity develops it is essential that relevant and useful information is readily available for those who want to find out more."
