NPPD dinner raises funds for TTBS
20 November 2012On behalf of the Timber Trades’ Benevolent Society (TTBS) trustees, the national president Dilwyn Howells and the Board of Management, Ivan Savage, TTBS general manager, wishes to thank the National Panel Products Division (NPPD) chairman Chris Sutton and all the attendees at the NPPD dinner on November 14 for their exceptional generosity. An after dinner collection raised £3,368 for the society.
"We are overwhelmed with this record amount donated to continue the work of the TTBS and the assistance we give to the many sick and retired timber industry employees and their dependants throughout the UK," said Mr Savage. "The beneficiaries are constantly in contact with the TTBS office with their messages of gratitude for the help that we give them throughout the year - we make a huge difference to their lives."
Mr Savage would also like to thank Nina Grundy at the Timber Trade Federation for organising the collection and producing the TTBS information cards that were displayed on the tables at the dinner.
