Obituary – Peter Doughty
24 September 2014Peter Doughty, former managing director of Magnet Southern, died on August 27 after a long illness. He was 92.
Mr Doughty, who was managing director of Southerns Evans before taking up the position of managing director of Magnet Southern, served a term as chairman of the North East Timber Trade Association and was well known in the timber industry.
In his retirement he enjoyed fishing, climbing the Lake District fells and was an active Rotarian.
