Proskills sponsors TTJ Awards

Proskills UK, the Sector Skills Council for the timber industry, is backing the TTJ Awards 2010 by sponsoring the Small Timber Business of the Year award.

The organisation (www.proskills.co.uk) officially joined forces with the wood industry in January to develop employer led qualifications for the industry, to promote upskilling and training and to help the industry increase its competitiveness while promoting careers in the industry.

“Proskills UK has decided to sponsor the Small Timber Business of the Year Award as small and medium-sized businesses make up a large percentage of the Proskills footprint and we work closely with businesses and employers to help them succeed,” said Proskills CEO Terry Watts.

“We are thrilled to be sponsoring this award which will recognise the achievements of SMEs in the wood industry.”

The TTJ Awards take place on September 16 at the Park Lane Hotel.
