An architectural joinery manufacturer has praised a Proskills training course which it says will help it boost productivity and competitiveness through improved workforce performance.

NEJ Stevenson, which also makes fine custom furniture, has been trialling the Profile Skills Manager – a training initiative operated by Proskills.

Company director Neil Stevenson said he was really excited about the product, which he said would assist it in training delivery.

“It will also contribute significantly to securing the sustainability of our business by ensuring that critical skills are not lost and existing resources are used more effectively,” he said.

“Profile simplifies the whole skills management process by providing the user company with a pre-populated library of standard job roles, which can then be customised to suit your business,” he added.

The training is part of the Proskills Academy for Materials, Production and Supply and aims to ensure the spread of best practice by giving employers access to a wide range of products and services that are designed to help businesses achieve greater productivity and profitability.
