Saint-Gobain contributes to Haiti aid effort

Saint-Gobain is the latest merchanting company to contribute towards the Haiti fund-raising effort.

The France-based building materials distribution group is providing €60,000 to further the work of Action Against Hunger, the American Red Cross and Habitat for Humanity in Haiti.

Weyerhaeuser has also announced aid for the Haiti rebuilding project by donating US$250,000 worth of building materials.

The US-based business is also in the process of identifying a partner to work with in the provision of earthquake-proof timber buildings in the country.
