Scotts appoints project manager

4 December 2013

Joinery manufacturer and timber buildings specialist Scotts of Thrapston has appointed Bryn Lee as project manager.

Mr Lee has joined the company after completing a Masters in Architecture with distinction at The University of Manchester School of Architecture. He received the Property and Construction Committee Manufacturing Award 2013 from the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce for the work he undertook during his work experience at Scotts of Thrapston and his thesis.

"Bryn has proved to be a great asset to our team and has been able to cast a fresh pair of eyes throughout our range of timber products, looking at new materials and modern methods of construction. As we move closer to our 100-year anniversary, we will be working on some of our most innovative projects that we are looking forward to unveiling during our centenary year," said director James Scott.

Mr Lee said the construction industry had to use building methods that offset carbon.

"This is a fantastic opportunity to help a reputable brand such as Scotts embed this ethos, but at the same time maintain the quality and standards they have become synonymous with over the years," he said.
