Södra Wood to establish UK sales office

“The search for a president and sales personnel is under way and the business will be launched in the first quarter of next year,” said Håkan Svensson, president of the Södra Wood business area.

The initiative will also be a supplement to Södra Wood’s collaboration with Crown Timber, in which Södra is a partner.

“Customers are currently served by employees from Sweden, and the introduction of local representatives will be a major improvement,” said Mr Svensson.

“The president and sales personnel will therefore be recruited locally, and the recruitment process is now underway.

“We also want to expand the business by offering the rest of our range, including interior wood products, energy products such as pellets, and solid wood and parquet flooring.”

The new office will be located west of London, close to an airport. In the autumn, Södra Wood decided to open two more sales offices – one in China, based in Shanghai, and one in Silver Bluff in Miami, Florida.

There is already a sales office in Portland in the US.
