Sonae Arauco Deutschland reinforces management team
18 November 2022Rainer Zumholte is the new managing director for sales and marketing at Sonae Arauco Deutschland GmbH as of this month.
He joins Rui Manuel Gonçalves Correia (CEO), Dr Steffan Körner (general manager and industrial operations director for north-east Europe) and António Fernando Marques dos Santos Gomes de Castro (CFO) in the company’s administration.
Mr Zumholte is recognised for his expertise and extensive experience in the wood-based panels sector. His previous experience includes being responsible for sales in western Europe’s core markets as managing director at Pfleiderer Deutschland GmbH, Neumarkt, where he worked for 37 years, until the end of March 2018.
On July 1, 2018, Mr Zumholte was appointed to the executive board of Westag AG as head of the Surfaces/elements division. He was subsequently appointed CCO of sales and marketing there until the end of March 2022.
At Sonae Arauco, Mr Zumholte will be strategically leading the sales area for north-east Europe, with a special focus on the market’s strategy definition and implementation.
